Haley Nolan

Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer

Haley Nolan is a choreographer, educator, and performer whose work centers the investigation of human connection—its weight, its pull, and the unspoken energies that move between people. She is the founder and Artistic Director of Nolan Dance Collective, a project-based contemporary dance company that explores relational dynamics, physical negotiation, and the emotional resonance found in moments of suspension and exchange.

A graduate of Seton Hill University with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a concentration in choreography, Nolan’s work is grounded in contemporary partnering and ensemble-based creation. Her choreography has been presented at festivals, theaters, and academic institutions across the United States, including Texture Choreography Project, KoDaFe in NYC, DUMBO Dance Festival, Shenandoah Conservatory Arts Academy, and Seton Hill University. In summer 2025, Nolan received her first full-length choreographic commission with Texture Contemporary Ballet, marking a significant expansion of her large-scale ensemble practice.

As an educator, Nolan has taught on both the East and West Coasts and currently serves as faculty with Thrive Dance Experience and as Adjunct Faculty of Dance at Seton Hill University. Through Nolan Dance Collective, she is committed to building an inclusive and supportive community for dancers by creating professional performance opportunities, collaborative creative processes, and accessible community classes for emerging and established artists alike.

At the core of Nolan’s artistic philosophy is the belief that dance is a language rooted in sensation, ambiguity, and interpretation. Her work invites audiences into a shared experience—one that values empathy, presence, and the transformative potential of movement.
